Q. Do I need to make a reservation?
A. At The Crab Shack Wellington we operate on a walk-in basis, only accepting reservations for larger groups over 10 people. If a table isn’t immediately available when you arrive, we operate an efficient text-waitlist system, allowing you to explore our wonderful waterfront in the meantime. If you do have a bigger group, please flick us a message or give us a call to organise a reservation.
Q. Do you offer a BYO service?
A. No, we are a fully licensed restaurant and have a delightful selection of beverages for you to enjoy.
Q. Can we bring a cake in for birthday celebrations?
A. Absolutely! You are more than welcome to bring a cake, as long as we can join in with an enthusiastic ‘Happy Birthday’ tune! We do charge a cakeage fee of $2 per person, charged only if the cake is in lieu of dessert. Also, this has a maximum of $20 per group.
Q. Do you have parking available?
A. As we are on the waterfront, parking is limited. However, street parking is reasonably close by, and the TSB Arena Wilson Parking is underground right next to us.
Q. How can I join the Crab Shack team?
A. We are always happy to hear from anyone interested in working with us at The Shack. Please email a cover letter with a little about yourself and the position you are looking for, along with your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q. Do you have highchairs available?
A. Definitely, we have 5 highchairs to offer the smaller crablings.
Q. Are you wheelchair friendly?
A. The west entrance door is suitable for guests in a wheelchair, as our front revolving door does have a small step down into the restaurant. However, we are very limited for suitable tables, so please do call ahead and we will happily hold a lower table for you.
